Believe it or not it is that time of year again. The first league meeting of the North/West Bergen /Passaic GirlÂ’s Basketball League (NWBP) for the 2017/2018 basketball season will be on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Midland Park High School Cafeteria at 7:00 p.m.
Please bring a check payable to NWBP Girls Basketball League for $1,150 per team being entered. (A minimum of two teams must be entered from each town. Single teams will only be accepted as needed to complete a division. (An additional fee of $110 will be charged for towns with only one team). The league will continue to use referee assignors and evaluators. The league fee includes league registration, website, All-Star games, referee fees for all league and playoff games, assignor fees and playoff trophies. Full payment or town purchase order must be received no later than December 5, 2017. A late fee of $25 per team will be assessed for any payments received after this date.

(Completed registration forms must be received by November 15, 2017.) Last year the league had a total of 156 teams. (11 teams in the 3rd grade only league, 27 teams in the 3/4th grade, 26 teams in the 5th grade league, 32 teams in the 5/6th grade league, 22 teams in a 7th grade league and 32 teams in the 7/8th grade league.) Depending on number of teams at each grade level the league attempts to place teams according to playing ability and create multiple divisions (A, B, C and D) where possible. This does not apply to the 3rd grade only or 3/4thgrade divisions.
